Hinrich Lührs
Hinrich Lührs is a qualified wholesale and export merchant, specializing in tropical and North American veneer and sawn timber.
In the 1980s, Hinrich Lührs worked as a timber broker in the United States, where he procured veneer, log, and sawn timber for his international clients.
In 1991 – after the fall of the Berlin Wall – he moved (effectively from cellulose to celluloid) to the commercial film industry and served as a consultant on both the agency and production side for international customers and their budgets.
Since 1994, he has worked as a freelance film producer and production manager for international advertising agencies and corporations. He has also been successful for several years in the area of documentary film-making.
He also conceived various art projects such as the Horst Janssen exhibitions in Hamburg-Altona and Oldenburg, the private museum project SHKS - Schutzraum Hamburger Kunstsammlungen or the commemoration of our European anthem at NEUN10TE January 2022. The latter fell victim to Covid-19.
